Short Story: Student Menjing’s study life in TOP

050a

My name is Jin MENG, and I was born in Jinan, Shangdong province on April 6 in 1987. In October 2006, I came to Australia for further study. During the course of study, I achieved excellent academic results and passed all the subjects. In addition, I was also a voluntary staff member, helping new students on orientation day, by picking them up from the airport; helping them to open a bank account and guiding them around Sydney. I also took a part time job in an internet café bar during the course so that I could afford the living fee by myself.Making the decision to go abroad was not my personal will; I was forced to do that in order to follow my parent’s opinion. The first time I got off the airplane, the city was not what I imagined. A small populations means the city is not as flourishing as my home town, especially at night, there is no place to go for entertainment. I was depressed and really wanted to go back to China in the first few days in Australia. But with my family and friends strong support and great help from the Top education staff, I chose to stay here. After months of hard work, I found myself adapting to the new environment well, and I also got a part time computer job, which enriched my personal life. Most importantly, I have learnt the way to balance study and work, which is invaluable experience in my life. After a few days, I will go to Macquarie University for further study. I am proud to say that the skills which I have learnt while studying at Top Education will definitely help me to conquer any difficulties occurring in the future. I also feel confident that I can finish the Macquarie University course on time. Again, many thanks to my family, my friends, and the kind help of the Top Education staff.
