It also aims to help students develop a greater understanding of financial accounting and other information relating to the equity markets and to understand the ways this information is used for valuation. Students will be able to develop an understanding of the theoretical and practical relations between financial statement items and share markets. They will develop an appreciation and understand the importance of the five steps of analysing an organisation; business and strategic analysis; accounting analysis; financial analysis; forecasting; and valuation. Students will also develop skills to understand and interpret an organisation's annual report in order to make investment decisions about that organisation. Specifically, students thoroughly analyse and prepare a report on a firm's financial position and estimate its value. *EFTSL = Equivalent full-time study load
