Consul General of the Consulate General of S.R. Vietnam in Sydney visited Top Education Group

On the 2nd of August 2022, Consul General of the Consulate General of S.R. Vietnam in Sydney, H.E. Mr Nguyen Dang Thang, Consul Mr Quang Ngueyn and Mr Trinh Dang Ha visited Top Education Group Ltd. The Vietnamese delegation met with staff from the Group's higher education sector, the Australian National Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC) and its subsidiary company, the English language school (SCOTS English College). Accompanied by key personnel including Ms Cathy Xu, CEO, Executive Director and President of TOP/IMC, Ms Stella Huang, Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors and Founder of TOP/IMC and Mr Amen Lee OAM, the Consuls enjoyed a tour of TOP's campus in the South Eveleigh precinct. After, in a Boardroom meeting, the parties discussed the potential for deep cooperation between Vietnamese and Australian Higher Education Institutes.

At the meeting, Ms Xu presented a comprehensive welcome speech that illustrated TOP's development and its many milestones and achievements since its inception in 2001, emphasising its diverse and multifaceted future directions. Ms Xu further reflected on TOP's commitment to developing customised training services for corporations and organisations.

The Consul General, H.E. Mr Nguyen Dang Thang, spoke about the Vietnamese education system and how Australia is a country in which many Vietnamese students aspire to study. He continued that Vietnam is a country of many opportunities but also challenges and spoke of its willingness to support high-quality Australian institutes for broad and deep exchanges and cooperation with similar institutes in Vietnam.

Several professors from TOP, including Emeritus Prof. Peter Eddey, Emeritus Prof. Ed Davis and Emeritus Prof. John Hearn, shared their experiences working with Vietnamese universities and students over the past 30 years, expressing their appreciation for the general diligence and intelligence of Vietnamese students. They each pointed to the agility and adaptive capacity of TOP as an institution that works well with partners in the education field.

The Consuls, Mr Nguyen Quang and Mr Trinh Dang Ha, expressed their confidence in the Vietnamese market welcoming quality Australian education providers. After the meeting, the Consuls were given another warm welcome by more TOP staff.
