Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available and will be assessed in accordance with IMC’s RPL policy and procedure. Please refer to the Application for Recognition of Prior Learning and the RPL policy and procedure for further details.
Assessment design across this course follows IMC’s Assessment Policy and is based on principles of constructive alignment, academic integrity, transparency and progressive development of knowledge and skills. A balanced mix of assessment types is used across the course, including formative and summative online quizzes to test conceptual understanding, individual and group assignments that require students to analyse data sets, evaluate digital strategies and present business recommendations, and invigilated examinations that assess integrated knowledge and higher-order cognitive skills. In more technical units, such as those dealing with applied programming, machine learning applications and database or business intelligence tools, assessment includes supervised laboratory-based practical tasks and projects where students implement and evaluate digital solutions using real or realistic data.
The capstone Digital Transformation Project brings these elements together through an project-based assessment on a substantial digital innovation for an organization, thereby demonstrating their readiness for professional practice and further learning in current rapidly evolving digital environment.
