Dr Minshen Zhu

Dr. Minshen Zhu held a BA from Fudan University (1982) and a PhD from the Australian National University (1989). He also completed his executive training CLHE at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Graduate School of Education (2010).Â
Dr Minshen Zhu was Principal and CEO at Top Education Institute (now Australian National Institute of Management and Commerce) since its inception in 2001. Dr Zhu was also the Chairman and CEO of Top Education Group, which since it was successfully listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Dr Zhu was also appointed by the State Government of NSW as a member of the NSW- East Asia Business Advisory Council, the NSW- Asia Business Advisory Council and NSW Asia Business Council (2000-2010), by the University of Sydney as the Board Member and Senior Advisor (China Affairs) of its Confucius Institute (2008-2018), and by the Federal Government as a member of the Chinese Ministerial Consultative Committee (2012-2013).Â
Dr Zhu’s major research areas were Paleography, Calligraphy and Higher Education Management. Dr Zhu’s major academic publications include A University Course of Chinese Calligraphy (1985) (editor-in-chief) and The Shuowen Jiezi: The Dawn of Studies of the Ancient Characters (1999), A Study of Chinese Calligraphy and Labour Structure vs. Education.Â
Dr Zhu was a larger-than-life figure who guided the Institute from humble beginnings to its current position as a leading Australian private higher education provider granted partial self- accrediting authority by TEQSA in the Broad Field of Management and Commerce.
