PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Master of Business Research is designed to provide students with an advanced level of specialised knowledge and skills for research in the management, leadership, and commerce disciplines, with emphasis on recent and emerging developments in these fields.
The course equips graduates with in-depth knowledge of a wide range of theoretical and empirical research methods, and enables them to contribute to the body of knowledge by completing an independent research project.
This specialised program is intended for students seeking a research-focused career or employment in higher education institutions, research centres, or commercial organisations. The course also provides a structured pathway to doctoral studies, particularly in areas related to innovation, management, and leadership.
DURATION
2 years full time or 4 years part-time.
International students are required to maintain a full-time study load and attend on-campus classes.

The Master’s Dissertation is completed over one year under supervision after completing all preparatory coursework. Dissertations are assessed by both internal and external examiners. The Master of Business Research is completed once the dissertation has been examined and found satisfactory.
The Master of Business Research comprises five coursework units (6 credit points each) and a dissertation of between 30,000 – 40,000 words (60 credit points). To qualify for the degree, students must complete a total of 96 credit points.
