The Academic Learning Team, Perth Learning Facilitator, Sydney English Language Support Officer, and Librarian ran the second workshop for Term 2 – Get Your Message Across in Week 7. The session was delivered both on campus and online via Teams.
This workshop focused on email etiquette. The students have learnt how to write, reply and follow up emails with professional etiquette, as well as how to use useful tools. Since the students who attended on-campus workshop had prior professional experience, the on-campus session was focused on discussion and updating their knowledge. For students joining online, many students were with little or no work experience; so, it was a valuable opportunity to go through email etiquette step by step.
Feedback was extremely positive: 100% of participants rated the workshop as “excellent” (5/5). Comments included: ‘Practical real-world application,’, ‘Key takeaway – every part,’ ‘Format was friendly and informative.’
