A Warm Welcome and Shared Vision

IMC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Cathy Xu opened the session with a warm welcome, reaffirming IMC’s dedication to strengthening the friendship between Australia and Vietnam, particularly through higher education and research collaboration.

“At IMC, our mission is to integrate education with industry. We are passionate about building partnerships across Asia-pacific regions, and we see great potential for collaboration in research, innovation, and green technology.” Dr. Xu said.

She also highlighted IMC’s distinctive model that fuses innovation with tradition, reflected in its campus design where modern research hubs operate within historically preserved buildings, fostering creativity and collaboration.

A Message of Partnership and Innovation

In her address, Deputy Consul General Ms. Tran Thi Thanh My outlined the vital role of IGIP in advancing Vietnam’s green transition and economic growth.

“Through IGIP, we focus on promoting green technology, industrial innovation, and trade support for small and medium enterprises, especially in rural areas. Today’s visit allows us to share experiences, explore ideas, and strengthen our partnership to support entrepreneurs and students alike.” she said.

IMC’s Commitment to Educational Excellence

Professor Peter Eddey, Deputy President of IMC, also shared remarks during the meeting, reflecting on IMC’s strong commitment to education, innovation, and cross-cultural exchange.

“Education is at the heart of everything we do at IMC,” Professor Eddey said. “Our goal is not only to equip students with knowledge, but to empower them to make meaningful contributions to society. We deeply value collaborations such as this, which open new pathways for mutual growth between Australia and Vietnam.”
