Unit Overview: | |
The globalisation of markets provides both challenges as well as opportunities for firms seeking to engage in international business. This course will contribute to the program by providing students with the essential knowledge required to understand the global business environment. Specifically, the course provides a systematic analytical framework of the global business environment that encompasses economic and international trade theories; government policies and national differences in political, economic, cultural and ethical systems. Building on an understanding of the global business environment, organisational strategies for multinational companies are reviewed with a view to understanding how to capitalise on global market opportunities. |
