Below, we have outlined the steps of our application process.

1. Select your course

Browse our courses and select those which best suit your study interests.
While making your selection, note the campus(es) that each course is delivered from, and ensure that you meet any entry requirements listed.

2. Apply Online

Create a new account on our application portal or log in using your existing credentials. You will be able to use the portal to track the progress of your application.

Refer to our key dates to ensure that you submit your application before the enrolment deadline for each intake.

Domestic applicants

You may be eligible for FEE-HELP from the Australian government. Have your Australian passport and Tax File Number on hand to apply.

International Applicant Documentation

You will be required to provide copies of your passport, proof of your academic history, evidence of English proficiency, and in some cases a Statement of Purpose. The application portal will provide you with detailed information on the documentation requirements.

Scholarships

Familiarise yourself with the scholarships we offer. You may apply for a scholarship as part of the online application process.
Ensure that you have read and understood all relevant Terms and Conditions before doing so.

Recognition of Prior Learning (Advanced Standing)

If you wish to apply for Advanced Standing (Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)), first read our RPL Policy.
Select Advanced Standing when submitting your application.
Our team will then process your application based on the academic documents you provide.

Adjustment Factors

Some of our courses offer Adjustment Factors to domestic applicants for undergraduate courses who may not fit the standard criteria for admission.
If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact our recruitment team for more information.

3. Assessment process

After you submit your application, it will be processed by our Admissions team.
You will receive one of these outcomes:

Conditional approval

If you have met basic admission requirements but are missing some documentation to prove your academic status, a conditional offer letter will be provided to you with a number of conditions attached.
You will need to provide the missing information to fully meet admissions requirements in order to progress your application.

Full offer

All documents and qualifications have met the entry requirements. You can expect an admission offer shortly.

Refused

After assessing all the documents provided by you, we determined that you have not met our admissions requirements for your selected course. We will then notify you that your application has been unsuccessful. You can discuss your application further with our Student Recruitment Team or Admissions Team by phone or email.

4. Accept Your Offer

You will receive an email notification with 2 working days if your application has been fully approved. The email contains your student number and password. You will then be able to log into the student portal.

After logging into the student portal, you will be asked to confirm your application information and read the Terms and Conditions before accepting your offer.

5. Payment

After accepting your offer, you may pay tuition directly on the student portal or contact our Finance team via email at fees@imc.edu.au.

For International Students, an eCOE (Confirmation of Enrolment) will be provided for your student visa application, given that you have been offered admission with no outstanding conditions.

For Domestic FEE-HELP students, payment will not be completed until the official FEE-HELP form is completed during the orientation period. Domestic students will need to bring their Australian passport and Tax File Number on Orientation Day to complete this process.

6. Enrolment

You will receive an email with orientation details.

On Orientation Day, you will be able to officially enrol in your subjects. After registration at our Reception Office, you will take a photo for your student card, experience a guided tour of the campus, receive course advice, and enrol in your subjects with the assistance of our staff.

Due to COVID19-related restrictions, you may need to complete your orientation online. An email will be sent to you with a link to the orientation.
