Postgraduate Preparation Program The Postgraduate Preparation Program is a non-award course that provides a pathway into all of IMC’s postgraduate business courses for applicants who may not qualify for direct entry into their preferred postgraduate course in the fields of Management and Commerce at IMC and for those applicants who want to build a solid base of knowledge and skills to enable transition to postgraduate business study. Many years of experience in higher education have shown that international students often lack generic knowledge and skills at an appropriate level to successfully complete postgraduate business studies in Australia. The Australian cultural and educational environment can be a challenge for some international students. This non-award course is designed to expose students to the higher education environment in Australia and equip students with personal, cultural and communication skills, together with fundamental business knowledge, required for success in postgraduate study in Australia and ultimately successful entry to the workforce. CRICOS Code 099028C Course code PPP AQF level This is a non-award course and not an AQF course of study Duration Twenty-six weeks (1 semester) Location Sydney (IMC campus at the Australian Technology Park) Hours per week Twelve hours classroom and twelve hours self-study each week Commencement February, July, November each year Academic admission criteria The non-award course is available to international students who have successfully completed a three-year post-secondary qualification. English language requirement IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 5.5, or equivalent proficiency. Assessment Method Assessments include debate and discussion, individual and group presentations, written work such as essays and personal development documents. Study pattern Full-time only (four units completed simultaneously) Fee AUD $10,000 Students who completed Shandong Polytechnic College's Pre-master Program have the same eligibility to enter into the selected Master Courses at IMC.
