This unit will explore the legal risks and challenges faced by businesses on account of the rapid rate of technological developments and innovation which are outpacing the rate of regulatory change, and the implications of technology on human rights. Some of the topics covered include legal and regulatory issues arising from the following: blockchain, digital currencies, smart contracts, big data and data protection, artificial intelligence, legaltech, fintech and regtech.
