TECO201 Elements of Econometrics

The aim of the unit is to help students develop a working knowledge of econometrics and its applications to economic and business data. The unit is based on regression models and will cover the topics for simple regression methods, focusing on the issues of estimation and inference. Extensions to the regression model will also be considered. There will be an emphasis on how to apply the methods in practice, fostering the abilities to conduct empirical research in economics, finance and other social sciences.
