TTEC617 Data Analytics in FinTech

This unit allows students to consider a range of situational, practical and hypothetical cases and analyse real-world case studies relating to the use of data analytics, blockchain and fintech applications in modern financial operations. It encourages students to question the efficacy of fintech in improving financial operations and provides practical opportunities to use fintech in financial exercises. The unit allows students to operate data analysis tools in combination with big data and to differentiate between various fintech applications in solving contemporary financial data problems. Risk is also covered in the unit as well as the cultural, ethical and professional challenges raised by data analytics and blockchain, enabling students to examine possible risk mitigation approaches while considering a variety of case studies.
