Both technical and conceptual skills of financial accounting and other information to the equity market; and the ways this information is used for valuation are introduced and further applied in business investment decision making process. This unit is prepared for students to understand the theoretical and practical relationships between financial statement items and share markets. They will learn to apply the five steps of analysing an organisation: business and strategic analysis; accounting analysis; financial analysis; forecasting; and valuation. Students will learn to understand and interpret an organisation's annual report in order to make investment decisions about that organisation. Specifically, they will acquire the skills to thoroughly analyse and prepare a report on firm's financial position and estimate main value. *EFTSL = Equivalent full-time study load
