The subject develops distinct conceptual frameworks and specialised tools for solving real-world financial problems in corporations. Students will acquire an understanding of the fundamentals of corporate finance including the allocation of financial resources, the raising of funds and the undertaking of investments, as applicable to business management. Students will be introduced to a range of financial decision making concepts such as financial goals, financial markets, financial mathematics, risk and return, asset pricing, capital budgeting, cost of capital, capital structure and dividend policy.
